It's associated with Nathamunigal, a revered Vaishnavite saint, who played a key role in preserving and spreading Vaishnavism through the compilation of Naalayira Divya Prabandham.The temple gained prominence due to its association with Nathamunigal, a revered Vaishnavite saint and scholar who lived in the 10th century CE. By Air: The closest airport is Tiruchirappalli International Airport (Trichy), approximately 150 kilometres away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or use public transport to reach Kattumannarkoil.

By Train: Chidambaram Railway Station, about 30 kilometres away. From Chidambaram, you can take a taxi, auto-rickshaw, or a local bus to reach the temple.

By Road : Chidambaram Bus Stand, about 31 kilometres away.
